WHAT CAUSES BACK PAIN?

  • Your back has muscles, nerves, blood vessels and joints. Its job is to stabilize  your body and it’s often put under stress throughout the day.


  • Back pain can be caused by; improper biomechanics in the spine or somewhere else, poor posture, carrying heavy things, a sports or activity related injury, or a known spinal condition, among others.

HOW DO WE DIAGNOSE BACK PAIN?

  • Our goal is to locate the cause of your back pain so we can fix it. We do this by conducting an evaluation.


  • Chiropractors use many examination techniques to determine which movements are causing your pain. Once we identify the movements, we’ll then examine the muscles and ligaments in the affected area(s).


  • If necessary, we’ll do an X-Ray to take pictures of your back. These pictures can be used to confirm a diagnosis or rule out causes before finalizing a treatment plan.

Back pain can be complex, so treatment includes many different approaches. These are the main treatment options we use:

• Adjustments – help to realign the spine and open nerve pathways that could be causing you pain.


• Extremity Adjustments – realign areas such as shoulders, knees, feet, wrists, and elbows and correct faulty biomechanics that could be causing you pain.


• Flexion Distraction Decompression – align the spine and decompress the disc(s).


• Acupuncture – an effective way to open up channels and reduce pain, and improve circulation to promote natural healing.


• K-Laser Therapy – Blood flow is the primary mechanism to speed up healing, thus getting more oxygen to the cells. Class 4 K-Laser therapy creates more ATP in your body.


• Therapeutic Exercises – to improve flexibility, stability, strength, reduce muscle stiffness, and prevent further injury.
