You will be laying flat on the bad. To keep your legs up, a cushion will be placed under your knees.
A harness will be buckled around the area you will be receiving the decompression to keep you in position. This harness is attached to the machine's pulley system. The decompression table has a monitor wherein the table's system is adjusted based on your needs like the force and angle. During the treatment, the table will slowly stretch and relax your spine in a controlled way. After stretching the area, the harness returns to its original position and you are done with treatment.
Each session typically takes about 30 minutes, though the duration may vary depending on your needs. Most patients are recommended to complete 12–25 sessions to achieve optimal results. Spinal decompression is often combined with other therapies, such as chiropractic adjustments, stretching, or strengthening exercises, for the best outcomes.
